PUZZLUM TOUR

This is an artistic and educational project aimed at enabling as many people as possible to have direct contact with the Puzzlums — oil paintings that can be touched, experienced, and rediscovered.

These works are not merely meant to be viewed. Through touch and interaction — primarily by moving, arranging, and rotating them — the viewer can enter into a direct relationship with them, becoming a co-creator of their composition. By their very presence, they help create the works, leaving their mark on them, while at the same time contributing to their gradual disappearance, as touching and manipulating the elements causes the surfaces of the paintings to wear down and degrade over time.

The largest number of people encountered the Puzzlums during the 2017 Night of Museums at the Silesian Museum in Katowice. Over 17,000 people attended the event at that time.

In 2022, the project was expanded to include artistic and educational workshops for elementary school children titled "ABOUT ZOFIA, WHO ARRANGED COLOURS”. The classes were conducted in Polish and utilized active learning methods.
A year later, the tour was held under the name "PUZZLE TOUR THROUGH ZAOLZIE”, and in 2024 it took the form of "WITH TANGRAMS THROUGH ZAOLZIE” — a series of tangram images inspired by Józef Ondrusz’s book "Cudowny chleb” ("Miraculous Bread”). Some of the resulting works were subsequently used in a program for children based on the same book.

Since 2026, the project has been operating under the name "Puzzlum Tour,” which more clearly emphasizes the original nature of the works and the idea of the image as a form subject to movement, touch, and change.
